The Old Granary & Bradfield Court, Darwin College, University of Cambridge

ABOUT THE OLD GRANARY & BRADFIELD COURT:

The Old Granary is a Grade II listed building built in the early 19th century that was remodelled from a functional granary to residential accommodation at the end of that century. It was also part of the Darwin residence from the time of Professor Sir George Darwin. Bradfield Court is a new development on the college grounds that will primarily be used as a lecture space.

    DESIGN CHALLENGE:

Source and supply furniture to the modernised bedrooms, and create an overall look that would remain sympathetic to the building's original features and history.

    THE SOLUTION:

Collaborating closely with the architect Allies and Morrison, we selected and installed furniture that specifically complimented the calm and thoughtful colour scheme, creating a modern, engaging environment. We supplied stacking chairs and titling tables that were highly functional and durable for use at the new Bradfield Court, which will function as an adjoining lecture space.
